Anybody know what type of fiberglass a factory hard top is made out of? I didnt know there were different types of fiberglass and repair products that are specific to them until I bought a Vette. All I have is a small crack in the top but I dont want the repair popping out or recracking after I get it on the road. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

77 fiberglass CJ-7 304, Ground up Resto-mod Edelbrock Air Gap, Holley 1850, Headers and Flowmasters, Black Diamond suspension, BFG 33X9.50 on Outlaw I's. Hopefully on the road this year!

I didn't know either.. I have only repaired a few cracks in yj tops.. But I used what was available at the local Home Depot as that is what I keep around the shop at all times.
I just clean the area. Sand a little. And apply resin and cloth as needed. Then I sand it to suit my needs and paint with whatever MIGHT almost match the color..costs bout twenty bucks and I have never had one to recrack or otherwise fail.
