John, I PM'd you back. Justice may have to recommend a campsite number for the two of us. Justice made the res last year, so I don't know which site we had. We had a good one, but I seem to remember liking the one Joanna had as it was on the outside of the circle...

Hey Temple,

Sounds like you have the stuff to do this trip. Your 35's give you the ground clearance needed. Lockers are optimal, but you probably have a limited slip in the rear so you'd get over most everything and we could strap or winch you over the rest. Justice has done these Big Bear trails before, so maybe he can chime in. Bringing tools, recovery gear, etc. would be good if you have them, but I'm sure Justice, me, or whoever else shows up would have anything you'd need if you don't. Camping gear of course.

It would be cool to meet up with a fellow San Diego Raider/Monty nut for some wheeling. I'm in Mira Mesa, so we could convoy up together if you're considering heading up Friday after 5:00; I have a work event I can't get out of, so the late start. We'd be setting up camp in the dark, but been there done that.

John

camping gear:

Tent
Sleeping bag/Mat
Cooler with Ice, food and water to last you for 3 days. The Exteme 5 day coolers are good enough.
Lantern
Campstove
Utensils/plates for cooking and eating
Propane to run your stove, lantern and whatever else.
Trash bags
Paper towels
camp table to set your stove on
Bring firewood for the campfire at night.

There are pit toilets in the Camp ground so you wont need porta potty for this trip. Think about what you will need to camp out for a few days...Once you go once or twice you'll figure out what comfort items you want to start getting to make the next trip better.

Sites 25/24/22 were all good to go with trees and what not, plus they kind of have a central area you could use for the nightly campfire.

So Far it looks like:

23-25 May. Most will be comming up the night of the 22nd I think.

Temple, witht those 35's I would take an extra set of tie rods. Maybe a U joint if you feel like it. Extra fluids are always good to have, and some basic tools in the standard mits sizes, 10MM, 12, 14, and 17MM. A tow stap is nice to have. A full size spare, tire plug kit, Hi-lift. Be sure to get one with loops at both ends leave the ones with hooks in the store. Most of us have a lot of this stuff and you will be able to use it if needed.

Justice, I'm gonna be iffy on this one. My sister just told me she's having a baby which is due on 5/20. I've been told it could go a day or two in either direction. If it's the weekend before, then I should be okay but if the baby's late, then I might be busy w/ family stuff.

Well, that and I'm still waiting on Skids from 4crawler. He just finished a set for the Grasscat who was in front of me in line so mine should be next but you never know these days.
