I saw the seat lift on Project SkyMiles. Where does one obtain the spacers? I'd like to hide an amp under the passenger seat. It's amazing how much space is under there, yet how poorly that space is utilized by the seat bracket & slider system. You could almost keep a 6-pack under there if the engineers had considered sharing that space with us owners. Does unbolting the seat cause any issues with the airbag on a 99 XJ? I've read it does on some vehicles & then has to be re-engaged by a tech for an hour's labor. Even better is the opportunity of unintended discharge of the airbag on some systems. I have no idea where Chrysler/Jeep stand in this mix. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The TJ I have now seemed to have seats that were lower than I liked for hunting and general offroad viewing.. It also hade extra room over my head inside the hard top..
I took a stick of 2X2X1/4" and cut 4- 2 inch lengths off of it. Then I drilled a hole in the middle of each to allow a bolt to go thru it. Then I pulled the 4 bolts holding each seat to the floor and replaced each of them with a similiar bolt 2 inches longer.. I now have a comfortable ride.
I am sitting up straight and can see all around.. Also there is still plenty of head room.

Body Damage is Cool
Here's one more. Probobly have a set laying around in your garage.

I used the upper poly bushings and oversized washers off my old front shocks. Perfect fit and you can really crank them down nice and tight for safety. Added about 1/2" fully compressed.
I was just going for the front, my seat felt like it was leaning forward all the time.

Body lift spacers would probobly fit just as well.

I guess I never detailed that part of the project. I used iron pipe caps, 3/4" iirc. 1/2" would work, too. I'm about 5'-10" and the seat is about right.

You'll need longer all-thread, too. I forget the thread size, but I'm pretty sure it's metric.
