Stacey, my transmission repair guy, says he can't find any parts for the Gen I V-6 manual transmission. Stacey says he needs 4 main bearings, synchronizer rings, and a couple of shift forks. Does anyone know of a source for these parts? Thanks, Bob
Monty

Russell, Would you have useable transmission components in one of your parts cars? I guess I've been under a false impression, that the internal components in a well used transmission will be experiencing wear, even though symptoms of failure haven't started yet. Would you seek to ship me an entire transmission, or send me components? Maybe my best route would be to just swap out the current tranny for another one. Thanks, Bob

Bob,
I was just pointing out that transmission parts are available, even if you pick up a whole car to get what you need. The aqua Montero has a stick, but 225K + miles onboard.

Mudrunner, you get desperate, I can check into one @ a out-of-the-way yard I found. PM me if you want and I'll check with them.
