I'd like to add some harnesses to the 4runner, but w/o an internal rollbar and having back seats to get to, there isn't much to attach the top strap(s) to.
I don't really need the harneeses most of the time, just for e.g. 4x4Cross racing etc, so I'm thinking quick-connects are the way to og, and use the stock lap/shoulder most of teh time.

I'm considering either attaching at the bolt wherere the rear laps connect, or maybe make a cross-bar for the stock rollbar wheret hre threads are and bolt to it. This eliminates use of back seats, but right now I don't antipate having backseat passengers any time that would necessitate a harness. Thoughts?

With 200+ Billion electrical parts, the world most complicated machine is inside your own skull.

Question Reality.

I would advise wherever you attach the shoulder harness to that it be near the same heigth where the straps go over the seat and as close as possible to the rear of the seat.

Straps mounted to the floor cause the straps to be to long and won't help at all.

DONT install harnesses without an interior cage!!!!

the harnesses will NOT allow you to move your head and neck down in the event of a rollover

if the top gets crushed- so does your neck and head!!
