i have a 1989 trooper ,,,i have a 350 chevy engine in it, i took out the 3 gauges that are in the middle of the dash on the factory gauge cluster, and put my temp and oil presure gauges in there and i need a aftermarket fuel gauge that will work with the factory sender,at least work good enough to tell me i am about to be walking.
how would i go about getting the rite gauge? has anyone of you done this in a hot rod trooper?
or do any of you know the ohms of the isuzu tank sender?

I swapped out my gauges for Auto Meter units. The factory ohms don't match anythingout there so i got the matching sender/gauge combo. Jim

From The Isuzu Achives this info is from Stewart Warner:
Ohms/Resistance (Empty/Full) Popular Models
0 - 90 Ohms GM cars, 1965 to present 0 - 30 GM cars prior to 1965 73 - 10 Fords prior to 1989 & most Chryslers 16 - 158 Ford post 1987 240 - 33.5 often seen as US or SW standard 120 - 17 Isuzu Trooper
What I would have done is screwed the Isuzu senders into your 350. Probably to late for that now <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

yea way to late ,i thought about it but the scrap guy got it by then.
thanks for the help dudes.
i been googling for it and it seems allot of people like to take the trooper fuel tank and bolt them inbetween the frame rails in front of the rear bumpers under there pickup trucks.anyway im going to look for a digital adjustablt gauge, and if i dont like what i find i will adapt a marine sender to the isuzus sender plate, a teleflex gauge and sender is only 50 bucks or so,
if any of yall know of adjustable fuel gauges i would love to hear it. edit---------------------------------------------------- never mind i found exactly what i need a universal adjustable gauge.SWEEEEEEET!
