I need new light bulbs for my compass on 2000 Montero. Pulled the bulbs, but can't find a replacement at any auto parts stores. Is this a dealer only item? Dealer is many miles from here and was hoping to find one closer.

yes, I have only been able to get them at the dealer, they are like a buck or two, I have the part number if you need it.

Check Radio Shack. They don't match it exactly, but there's a close alternative if you hunt around the 12V miniature bulb rack.
