Long time no post!! Been busy, but had a question for the gurus I have come to love!
My 88 PUP, 2.6 FI
- started throwing random CEL about a year ago.
- Slight roughness in running associated with it, but nothing terrible.
- Replaced O2 sensor (cheap.. why not?).. didn't stop CEL.
- More frequent CEL now with BAD running at times (limped home the other day).
- Codes 27 and 54 came up.

I actually took it to a mechanic with this info. They said "We pulled the codes (duh.. I gave you the codes!) and there are a bunch. Could cost $500.00 just to dianose". So I paid the $75.00 "diagnostic fee" and took her home. Any experience with these CEL codes/symptoms? Thanks guys/gals!!

Josh

Trouble codes are always a problem. They seem to be listed a bit differently wherever you find them.

Try this list.

Isuzu Trouble Codes

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Trooper-San.
I have seen that listing before, but thought "VSV system" and "power transister" system were pretty general. I was hoping someone had thrown a similar combo and had experience with a solid fix (vs. the start replacing everything one piece at a time approach).
