Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
Hi folks.
Having re-entered the world of the employed, I'm about ready to look for sliders and a winch capable bumper. I'll re-read the 4x4wire slider round up page before asking about them, but for bumpers, does anyone know of a place or places that offers bumpers for the T-100? If not, how much is reasonable for getting a bumper made?
Here's the quote I got:
"We would charge $650.00 plus tax for a round tube bumper (1 3/4" 120 wall DOM ). For square tube sliders, we would charge $500.00. If you wanted diamond sliders that would be $650.00. Or we can do round tube sliders for $420.00. "
Thanks in advance.

Check out Kenneshaw Mountain. I did a rear bumper and was impressed. Total cost was about $150 more than a replacement step bumper and I pity the clown who hit this thing. They have front units customizable as you wish. Winch, D rings, tube uppers, whatever. Made of 3/16" steel and tough as all get out. Do a search on my rear bumper project on this site to see pics or I can send you some. Going to do the front with a winch unit (they call it their Wincher") as soon as I can afford it.

Hey again CJ. Go to the search header on this site and type in wsquaredodie. Scroll down and you should find the thread. If not, send me your email and I can do it that way. Bill

Thanks for the information! I sent a price request to Kenneshaw. Here's a picture of the sliders that I got quoted on from the original place. Chip

Give your significant other your wallet. If you pay that price for the sliders, you don't deserve to have control of it. A local fab shop could do that for you. Materials and labor - $200 maybe!

Yeah that's way too much for sliders. Trail-gear sells round ones for under 200.
