I'm guessing they are caught in freshwater? look similar to our freshwater crays, known as "yabbies"....I spent many hours as a kid catching, cooking and shelling them...lots of work for the sweet tail.

Around here we call them crawdads. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> If you want to catch a few hundred just put some fish on a stringer and let it be for a few hours at night. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> Me and my uncle did that about 10 years ago. We left to get bait for about an hour and came back and it was amazing how many there were eating the fish. At least 300.
