but it's getting ignored.

1 - Pelosi and Obama say the auto industry CANNOT fail
2 - Gov't gives loans and a timetable for resolution
3 - Gov't ousts GM CEO.
4 - Gov't takes over Chrysler, violating Bankruptcy law and strong arming creditors
5 - Gov't then cuts advertising budgets in 1/2
6 - Gov't then orders closing of ~2k dealers

So we give 25B in loans to save an industry and now the GOV'T is killing industries owed money and shutting down about 2000 dealerships, killing some 150-200K jobs.

So much for "saving" an industry and "saving or creating" 3 million jobs.

For #3).....Rick Wagoner was politely moved aside due to a right decision.

The guy was nearly a non-convicted crook regarding funds set for the company ( for which I wish I had access to records) <from U.S. GOv.> GM Had a muti-billion $ contract during the WAR since desert storm with the making and selling of the humvee [even to date]!

Just a tip of the ice-berg of contracts of the many for which "fell short" under the guise of a current recession.

All of our TAX money!

I can't know for sure about the Jeep / Chrystler folks though..........

Utter BS. That is the decision of the BOARD OF DIRECTORS and the STOCK HOLDERS. Period. End of sentence. End of discussion. It is NOT the decision of Obama's administration.

Obama's administration has thrown the constitution in the toilet... and it's not being discussed.

No... They've just not taken it out of the toilet where it was previously thrown.

The moral relativism isn't worth the discussion. Just because every previous administration has eroded our Const. rights does NOT give Obama the right to completely ignore it as he has been. So much for a Const. Law speaker...

No but the precedent has been established. On what grounds does a 'conservative' stake a demand for constitutional guarantees when they were totally silent, and still make no demand for justice over 8 yrs of constitutional obliteration? There's no moral relativism in being a realist in saying 'too late'. The reality exists because of the moral relativism that passed TARP, allowed torture, supported a war on fabricated 'WMD's' and 'Sadam works with Al-CIA'da', bloated fiscal gov to 3x its size, supported unconstitutional wiretaps of every american citizen...and still has nothing but excuses for it.

Precedent does not justify anything. Nor does moral relativism. I don't care what bush did - anymore - and his actinos do NOT give this administration free reign.

I would also argue that this administration has doen more in the 1st 100 days to obliderate freedom and free markets than bush did in 8 years.

Regardless, Congress is complicite in everything and gets no where near the criticism they should.

Not trying to be a wiseguy here, but we already left those decisions to the board interested proprietor etc.....And I don't think that it really worked.

Furthermore, then why did the company ASK for money for a bail out?

If they are the recipients of tax dollars then Constitution has little or nothing to do with this matter.

They accepted money (this action implies) that they are compelled to accept some Major Terms.

We are not talking about small change here either

When I go to the bank and get a loan or involve myself in a monetary transaction (I also agree to the terms presented).

The Constitution has little or nothing to do with my legal obligations concerning my conduct in administering financial affairs for a company.

If GM had refused bail out dollars------------------------------------------------------------then I might have seen it ur way Brian.
