About 5 PM I was looking out my window of my flat and a big yellow school bus passes by -------------
............All of the sudden my Sportage alarm goes off and so does a couple of the neighbors cars <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />
We all went outside to check and there was no vehicle touched or hit......Now im really <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Does anyone know if it could be a frequency from their radios or something?
Just a question................
Thanks,
Mike <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

IF IT WAS JUST YOUR CAR IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A FREQUENCY FROM THE BUS, BUT SINCE IT WAS UR NEIGHBORS AS WELL THEN U WOULD ALL BE THE SAME FREQUENCY AND THEIRS WOULD TURN OFF AND ON WHENEVER YOU DID YOURS, PLUS MOST ALARMS NOWADAYS HAVE A ROLLING CODE SO THAT IT DOESNT HAPPEN...MOST LIKELY VIBRATION FROM THE BUS, IVE SET OFF MANY WITH STEREO SYSTEMS THAT WERENT VERY LOUD

If it is a factory Alarm you may have a bad switch on the door lock assembly. The factory alarm can be armed and disarmed, I think, only from the drivers door.

hydra, its just your shock sensor settings. a bus is pretty big and causes a lot of vibration as it drives by which is why your alarms went off. nothing to worry about.
any time i drive by the drug dealers escalade at the end of the block with either my car or my bike i set off his alarm due to my loud exhaust.
when i used to set them at the shop, i would set it so that a decent thump from the side of my hand on the a pillar would set it off, and a lighter bump would only trigger the warning chirps.
