Does anyone know the specs on an air intake? I want to build my own with a piece by piece kit but am not sure what size piping I need and all those other important details...

3.4? 2.75 i believe. Make sure you keep the pipe diameter the same as stock or it will mess up the MAF reading. (also make sure to keep the MAF the same distance from the engine)

Keep your bends to a minimum number and angle. Every bend drops flow rate like crazy. If you have a buddy who is an engineer, look up flow rate calcs and check it out. Smoother on the inside the better...

i've got an adapter that you can use with the stock intake tubes that'll allow you to use a k&n cone filter with it. it'll sit right in front of the map sensor. let me know if interested.

It has a MAF not an AFM, do you have the right adaptor? Also, the stock airbox with a hole cut in the front makes more power than a cone filter. Airraid and Trueflow make intake tubes (dunno if they do for the t, check it out) and replacement filter, and they use the stock airbox.

How bout this? I already have an K&N stock replacement filter, so will i get the same effect if I cut a hole in the upper side of the filter housing so the filter still does it's job? This would be instead of cutting a hole in the front of the housing and adding an adapter with a cone filter.

Ok ok, search for the "deckplate mod".. i think gadget has it on his site www.gadgetonline.com as well as dyno graphs... check it out...
