The dealer, mitsubishiparts.net does not have them <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

This looks like a real PITA. Can you take it down to the local machine shop and have them press it off ?

Body Damage is Cool
It's not that bad. You are not going to break it. You can always find one in the yard. Brake shops do it all the time. Whenever resurfacing or replacing rotors.

Ok I thought of something. You need to verify that those holes which accept ABS ring mounting bolts are be going all the way through and meet with bolts used to attach driving flange on opposite side. Take two opposing bolts off and poke through. If it is so: twist ABS ring just enough to cover bolt holes then insert short 3/8 bar stock pins from opposite side, then tighten two flange bolts. It will push ABS ring off.

Well, I am screwed because I chipped the tooth because I was too impatient to wait for a response. Ok, will try and see.
So, uhmmm anyone have an abs ring laying around anywhere?

Yea, seriously, impact wrench. Prior to getting my impact wrench I tried to clamp the rotor in a vice with a couple pieces of wood to prevent scaring the rotor. That didn't work.

Impact wrench is getting me same result....they just turn...but don't back out. WTF is holding these 6 bolts in?

I'd like to get this truck out of my port.

All I want to do is change my rotors! Mitsy y did you have to complicate this?

Have you got the ABS ring out of the way yet? If not, remove it and then use sockets on both sides at the same time. Or hold it on one side with a socket and impact the other side.

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

If you are replacing the rotors just beat the rotor off the hub. I had to do that to mine. Those bolts don't bolt down the abs ring. The ring has two 12mm bolts that go in on the same side as the abs ring. I am willing to bet money that rust is keeping the bolts from coming out. Just use a small punch from the back side to knock them out.

Edit
Just spray the abs ring the a ***** ton of PB blaster. That should make it come off then you can get to the nuts that are under the abs ring.
