It's got 185k miles, a rod knock and what I'd guess is a collapsed/failed HLA (or 2, or 5..) Anyway, it's going to get a rebuild. Are there any tips or tricks to improving the engine? I saw in a post below that some of the engines (I think it was about a 3.5l 24v) can use the HLAs from a later Diamante or something. I am planning a stock rebuild, but if there are later parts that are an improvement and don't take lots of specialty machining, I'd be in for trying them. Thanks! They all now have a 3mm or so hole instead of the original 1mm hole.
