I am back in the fold again, picking up a 1989 LWB on Friday. I can't believe how much I miss my old Monty that I sold back in March 2008. I think I will keep my new one pretty much stock, except for some OMEs, and maybe some more dirt worthy tires (same size). I actually drove through 14 miles of pretty loose sand with these street tires, with no trouble at all.

Ohhh, I can. Believe me... I can. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

New ride looks nice although IMHO I prefer blue myself (and unfortunately neither of mine are blue <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I like blue too, but you can't have it all. I thought you had a blue Gen I.

Thanks! The new one has 211K miles on the vehicle, but had a $3500 engine rebuild 8K miles/18 months ago. It is in very nice shape, and has a/c, unlike my blue one.

Here are more pics of my blue one, I will try to get more of my new one as soon as I start doing some work on it/have some mountains behind it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
if the blue one is still in or near tx. somewhere, i'd like to visit it (at night) and 'borrow' that driver's front fender for a while. i would even let him have my old beater fender for as long as he'd want it. he could then brag about the body damage to all of his buddies. geez, this is sounding better and better - for me.

ps - looks like you done good. again. :-))

Haha. It is still out in East Texas I believe. I sold it to someone who turned around and sold it about a year after. I just stumbled upon it on craigslist one day and called to see about buying it back, and it was already sold.
