Getting the Wheeling Fever
So my drivers side window stopped going up, and I had to take apart the door to check and see what the issue was. The door would go down, but would not go back up. This of course, was in the states and I had nowhere undercover to work and it started raining. After a couple hours of trying to figure it out, I finally took of the motor out and found that the plastic part that holds the cable spool had cracked and broken, so there was play in the cable and the window was sticking to the window seal.

So anyway, I need a new motor. I figure that I can get the same motor at a mitsu dealership here in the states for the 91 montero, but if that doesn't work out, does anyone know where I can find one back in Vancouver?

Ok, first question because of the Gen I / Gen II break year, which do you have? Second, if you have a Gen I, I have several window motors, just need your address and you pay the shipping only. I think I posted this here:

Yeah I have a Gen II, 1991. I thought I had that in my signature or something... sorry for not specifying.

Well I ended up apoxying it together and reinforcing it with a steel strip. Should hold for a while. Huuuuuuuuuge pain putting it back together tho cause of the spring loaded cable system. Need at least two people.

It should hold for quite a while, but it probably wouldnt hurt to have a backup ready. I also found broken pieces in the bottom and couldnt figure out where they came from. I discovered that the cable spool casing had already been replaced before so it is likely to break again.

In conclusion, the electric windows are the worst engineered part of the pajero.

Thanks.

Window not working again... the broken motor doesn't seem to be the main problem, gotta look into it again. I'm not sure if the window seal is just worn down or what, but there is way too much play in the window.

The seals along the door are super easy to replace, I did all mine with parts from mitsubishiparts.com.

Cool thanks
correct me if I'm wrong... but it looks like the parts for a 91 pajero come from a 92 montero, as the parts for a 91 montero look like they are gen I.
