Body Damage is Cool
At the feet of Mt Jefferson.
Took my dad visiting us from CT and two of my sons (mom and 1 year old stayed home).
Gorgeous and tranquil lake. (Astounding swarms of mosquitoes not so much so ).

Some not very successful fishing. We didn't try really hard.

It was still and starry night.

On the way back attempted to take a shortcut vi unimproved NF4220. Intially encountered some 2-3 ft of snow on on the ground. Made it through after being encouraged by some dirt bikers that it doesn't get any worse. Yeah right. Only to encounter of snow field 6 ft high and 200 ft long totally blocking my way couple miles down the road. It's conceivable I could make it through since snow was very hard packed and I could possibly winch myself over. But being by myself with 2 kids on board I figured it would be best and safest to turn around.

Regardless I had total blast blazing the trail. Judging by the track (or lack of such) no other 4x4 has made it that far before me this year.

Despite snow on the banks water in lakes was surprisingly warm (mid to high 60s) so we even went for a dip.

Thanks. I like taking night pictures that one was 15 sec exposure.
We stayed NF campground. There was only one other group of people in whole campground. Pictures were taken pretty much from campsite. You can do primitive(wild) camping on other side of the lake (and other lakes) but campground got the best view.
