Has anybody made there Montero Fog lights come on with just the Parking lights?

My 01 Diesel Does. Get figure out how to do it.

The lights should be controlled by a relay. By flipping the switch to your headlights you power the relays coil allow power to be applied to your fog lights when you flip the light switch.

You just need to power the relay's coils with your parking light power wire instead of your head light power wire.

Don't have a gen III wiring diagram handy but that would be the next place I'd look to find your fog lamp relays. Then figure out which lead is hot when your parking lamps are lit and tap from those lights. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Ok I'm going to check it out this week. I see were the fog relay is i feel it clicking when i turn the fogs on and off.

How hard is it to import? Never look in too I figure It was a pain in the azz.

Actually it shouldn't be that bad. I had a grey market 79 930 Turbo that was brought over in 1989...sweet car! I believe that you are still entitled to import 1 vehicle per lifetime. Now officially speaking you may have to "change" certain lighting and safety components to meet DOT regs, but no one did on my 930. If anything, you could import it under the show/demo car exception that limits you to 3000 road miles a year...but I hear it's never enforced and you won't have to change anything out then.

I'd seriously look into contacting an import company and having it brought in. It would most likely be brought into Charleston, SC. I don't know how NY emissions etc would be for you, but for me here in NC I'd have no hassles and would love to have it.

Defiantly I will look Into My Brother in Law Is down There now. He deals with a lot of the Auto parts guys. I would ship my Truck In A heart beat here.
