I have a 1993 toyota 4runner the cv boot was tore six months ago and the cv joint finaly shot crap last weekend. can any one tell me what kind of a job it will be replacing it. me and my dad want to replace it to get me out of his super duty [color:"red"] [/color] [color:"black"] [/color]

what's your mechanical ability?
hardest part for you is popping that inner joint...

Did my T-100 last week-end. Same set up as you 4runner. If I did it again I would knock out the studs in the flange this would make it a million times easier.Can be done without doing this but its alot more difficult IMO.If you dont want to knock them out it can be done. I did mine with the tires on sitting on the ground. Had to take loose the shock to get the axle past it, but it will come out.

Quite similar: http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/cv_axle/We also have a link for a 1993 FSM in the early Toys section; sticky is near the top for ya. You'll want to have the old axle in hand when you go to the parts store; will save on the core charge; >$100
