Getting the Wheeling Fever
i have a sbc /700r4/np 203/ and a sm465. what trans should i use? if i use the 700 i will need a torque converter. the sm465 i will need a fly wheel, clutch, and starter. i was planing on electric water and fuel pumps. then i am also putting bj spacers, glass fenders and bed sides. i hope to run around 37's or so. the pt 2 will be lockers and gears, maybe some danas too.

I'd use the SM465. The 350 really comes alive behind a manual.

I'd go for a NP205 though. The NP203 is huge, and you dont need/want the full time 4wd feature.

If my R150 ever gives out, I'll probably swap it out for a SM465.

I like the SM465, but you cant beat a 700R4 for being common and very easy to work on. A shift kit does wonders to them!
