The Mickey T Claws are wearing pretty quick. Any suggestions for the next set? I was pleased with the SSR Swamper Radial 33's I had, the Mickey T's are the LOUDEST dern things I've ever had (quieter now w/ no tread except on the sides). So what next? 35x12.5xr15......

Also, anyone else having probs editing their posts before actual posting? I can't seem to get back into a post in the "preview" box to fix carp before posting.

There is a time delay before you can edit your post once it is sent.

WRT tires, I am a fan of BFG KM2s.

I have been past user of BFG MudTerrains with limited commitment to them. I liked the trail performance but did not like the highway performance.

For all-around, I am a real big fan of BFG All-Terrains.

However, I got a set of KM2 (35") and have been very surprised about highway performance. They are significantly quieter than older tread patterns.

How well do the KM2's clean out from the real stickey stuff? Pretty open tread pattern?

As for posting probs, I meant before actually posting, just during post-preview, I couldn't edit there. Always have been able to before...That's what the preview is there for. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same probelm.

If by "real sticky", you mean Georgia clay...

Consider that legend has it, the original BFG Mud Terrain (and subsequent patter changes) were field tested at Tellico. And, they have seen a lot of Baja duty.

The tread pattern is fairly open. But, you are speaking in subjective terms.

I have not experienced a problem with them in mud in southern Cal....

The 35" KM2's were $189 each - Way less than the Swampers and others. Got 4 ordered...Lets Rock! We'll see how they do - they do look nice though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

We'll put them to the test in October in Uwharrie most likely. Till then just the beaches...They've been difficult recently though - deep loose sand - not as difficut as deep mud, but plenty of people getting totally bogged down to the frame. My GF keeps wanting to help 'em out. She needs reminding that she'll be burried if she tries that! I can get 'em, but she'll just sink that Cherokee.

Key point: When dealing with loose sand, low air pressure which provides a wide footprint is best.

And, aggressive lugs can be a detriment....

I typically run 6-8 lbs pressure in sand.

With mine, it's so light the 12.5" wide tires just float - most times I'd be good in 2wd - I don't need low the low range. The GF has 9.5's on the Cherokee. She uses the low range and keeps her foot on the gas - no waiting for pokey with her! She'll tear right around them We're both out on the beach so much we don't air down or waste time about it. We're both running about 26-30 PSI all the time.
