When i fire up Mr.Bater, there is a noticeable clicking coming from the glove box 'area'.
What the heck is it?

It clicks randomly and often. Once i drive away it disappears, never to return until i 'cold' start it the next day.
Is it a warning of something worse to come?
Thanks

Afterglow system, part of the glowplug setup. Intermittently fires off the glowplugs (for short bursts) to get full combustion happening sooner. Mine always seemed a little random as to when it actually chose to "afterglow", but I always figured "betsy knows best"?

Anyway, as long as its during the warmup period, its completely normal.

It just seemed more noticeable over the last 6 months.

One more for you
Only my driver window struggles to get beyond the 1/2 way point going UP. Worse when cooler out. Sometimes i have to help it up

Dielectric grease on the tracks was a huge help on mine. Only PITA is you have to take off the door skin again... but it should make a big difference, if its anything like mine was.

After driving mine for a while I realized the "afterglow" system only tends to work when you throttle up the engine. If you just leave it idle it won't happen, but if you rev it up the glow plugs will start firing. Once I figured this out it was much much easier to get betsy running during the cold snap back in February.

I agree, as mine won't click unless the idle is somewhere over 1000-1100rpm.

get a can of silicone lubricant and spray some down the tracks, it works just as good as the dielectric grease..and there is no need to take the door panels off. I spray it once every 6-months to keep it lubricated and I don't have any more problems. It is good for the rubber and won't dry it out over time.

I use it on my sun-roof sliders too.
