I just recently got an 89 v6 raider. The serpentine idler pulleys under the alternator are whirring, but I don't see these idlers at any of the usual parts sites nor rock auto.
Anyone got a source for these, or perhaps is there a standard size bearing that can be pressed in the pulley?
Thanks
Mike

I have bad idlers too, but I am going to take one of mine off and see if I can match up with a Ford vehicle product. I am hoping Mustang ones match so I can order Billet pulleys for my Montero. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mrt.gif" alt="" />

My mechanic just replaced mine. I could be wrong but I think he got the parts from Mitsubishi.

Goodyear makes a good one, too. Search my username and "goodyear" and you should get a part#, or look at FrankR's supercharged v6 post for the billet pulleys he got. The goodyears require 4-5 flat washers for proper spacing from the bracket...

Try your Dodge dealer, too. I bought a set for my Montero about 3 years ago. No problem and they were cheaper than the Mitsu dealer, who really didn't want to talk to me anyway.

Goodyear Gatorback, that is the name they use on all the belts and belt-related hardware., I just threw out the box last week, I put pix up when I did it...That was about a year ago.

Body Damage is Cool
If not contact hazy_daze (Larry), he got them for my wife uncle and they are working like a dream. They are so easy to replace that will take you just 5 minutes to do.

You only need a 12mm for the adjustment bolt and a 14mm for the pulley's nut.

Loose the adjustment bolt and remove the pulley's nut, place new pulleys in and bolt them back in then the adjustment bolt.

Done, it is that easy.
