I found two 91 Montero's in a local junkyard and want to know if you guys have any recommendations on what I should look at pulling to fit onto my 87 Raider? No engine or tranny left in either one. Already pulled the bouncy seats, are the axles differant or worth getting?

1991 is not a second generation vehicle here in the states.

Man, I feel dumb now.
There were alot of subtle differances between them and my 87 and I just assumed they were 2nd Gen.

all the front brakes and the upper a arms. Idler arm if it's tight. Brake booster and master. brake lines to front brakes. caliper shields. front hubs if any. rear door if you don't have defroster/wipers. gauge clusters. power windows and switches and door inner panels for fronts. thingys that hook the glove box at full open. dome light. tool kits/jack/stuff like that. radiator (if oem as a core for a 3row). any trailer hitch.

V6 brakes are an increasingly common upgrade. The V6 front axle can be fitted with the LSD from a Starion/Conquest. Lots of past threads on each.

The 8" gen 1 V6 front diff has a ARB locker available. Personally from what I've read on here and if I won the lottery, I would preferr a locker to a front LSD. Of coarse unlike most, I like Gen 2 LSD rear diff.
One thing that can come in handy is the wiring harness , if you can get it cheap or free. Use it for to make adapters for testing electrical components. All the old connectors , even the old wire if not rotted out is better than new aftermarket chinese crap , for wiring in accessories...of coarse if you want to go that far--- It's alway nice just to get a couple extra monteros to sit in the front yard,,right RX?
So are they 91s or gen 2s?

I'm just gonna say they are 91 models. I'm not so sure otherwise, I've got some learning to do about these still. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Right, front locker would be great. I did my LSD for about $0 triple-net...
