What a jerk. First an engineering student should be able to fix it. Thosea re minor problems. Then when you want to send it to the scrap heap and someone offers you 100 you say thats an insult. After you find out it's worth something you want 1000 all of a sudden. You want to part it out but you can't wah wah wah. Don't ask for help and then be an ass.

Hazy is on the money, value-wise.
You can fix it for between $1000-2000 and have something worth 2500 (I really follow the prices on 95sr's across the country with search tempest), or sell it to somebody who will do the same or part it out, a real PITA.
Not responsible for advice not taken...

Then when you want to send it to the scrap heap and someone offers you 100 you say thats an insult. Whoa there, skippy. $100 is indeed an insult - even from a scrapyard. The price of scrap cars is now almost $8.00/100 lbs. Do the math. The main problem is getting it to the scrapyard. If someone has to tow it, the price goes down accordingly. Its his truck, and if he wants to ask $10 000 for it, that's his right. He may not get too many calls, but that's his choice... HOWEVER, I don't think 17 posts qualifies you to call ANYONE a jerk. Neither does 1700. Ease up on the rhetoric, and while you're at it, reread the guidelines. Name-calling is a definite contravention of them. Asking for opinions is not... EDIT: BTW, your post about your six year waiting truck giving all your neighbours heartattacks was hilarious, so don't go away, mad or otherwise...

Guys, Sorry if I insulted anyone. When I used the word 'insult', I was referring to the scrapyard. I didn't mean to slight anyone here- I didn't even think of it that way. I should have worded my posts differently, both my initial and my followup. I got a response from CL very quickly, and it is now sold for $700. Thanks for your input, everyone.
