Found someone across the US selling a whole one for what I think is a good price. Under 200. No ECU, line, etc.. Just the axle hub to hub. I have to find out how much shipping/freight is.. I'm guessing a lot ? Any ideas on shipping an axle, cost, with who... ? Thnx <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I dont think Id pay over 300 for one. I know VR4 looked into shipping them and didnt find any one. I know Justice got one on ebay but he might have jsut locally picked that one up.

There were a couple of SRs in a junkyard I was at a couple weeks ago in Seattle. Might be cheaper to drive down and pick one up then shipping. Not sure what would happen driving back across the border though? Would you have to pay a fee?
I needed a front diff. When I went to pick it up found they had cut the front end of the truck. For 200 buck was getting diff, rotor, brakes, axles everthing.
I could give the JY a call and see what is still there.

i sold mine for 250.
im sure shipping is possible but difficult.
i have access to 3 more thanks to the clunker program but i bet the market is about to be flooded with them.

Which rig are you going to swap into? Check to see if you are pre-wired. If so, grab the switch, compressor, and controller and it's a plug-n-play exercise.

Last time I was at the JY in Granite Falls, wa, they were going for $300. I got the rear axle from a MS, but the price they quoted was all of them. that price did not include a pump though as mine had LSD.

Going into a 94 Pajero with the 2.8 TD.
Luckily, it's pre-wired (plug behind the cig lighter cover) and the diff is 9.5 / 31 splines, same rear end.
Only hickup is that mine comes with 4.90 gears. I'll keep the 4.90's and swap them into the 3rd member with the locker from the donor SR.

Good deal. Get the extras then if you can. Pump is in the PS back seat cubby under the feet. The control unit is in the DS wheel well. There are two units back there, make sure you get the one that farther forward, towards the speaker more.
