Toyota (T: 25.67, -0.22, -0.85%) is being investigated by U.S. traffic safety authorities after The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced Tuesday the receipt of 20 complaints related to the Toyota Tundra.

Most of the complaints allege the spare tire separated from the rear cross member, while others claim the cross member damaged brake lines due to corrosion caused.

The NHTSA estimates that 218,000 trucks are affected.

This comes after Toyota's recall last week which seeks to recall 3.8 million cars due to a loose floormat that could potentially force the accelerator down.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
