The plastic bushings that keep the seat from wiggling on my 03 TJ are shot and I can't find replacements for them. I called the stealership and local parts houses and still no luck. Any suggestions??

Thanks.

Here is where the piece goes

The plastic piece goes over the raised part of the bolt and rides in the chanel.

I got to thinking "what would Big Jim do?" and came up with an idea. I had some aluminum bushings that went to a garage door that I had laying around. They were a little wide, but just about right id and od. I made them fit and tightened the torx bolts real tight. Seat slides just like new and I won't have to replace these any time soon.

The dealer won't sell parts of the seat track because Chrysler won't sell them to them, too much liability for their lawyers, you can only get a new bracket assembly.

Sounds like a good fix, though!
