Mudrunner
on Milliken in Ontario, CA. It's sitting in the fenced in yard and was part of the CARS program. Does anybody know if those vehicles can be licensed as salvage??? If I could get it cheap, I'd love to give it a new home... If not, I hope someone gets use of the body panels, windows, etc before they get damaged.

As you probably already know, the engine in it is totaled, but everything else in the unit should be ok. Were you able to check it out at all, get the year, mileage, or check the body for rust?

My thinking is that if you can get the lot to sell it to you then you should be able to drop the body on a Trooper or SLX frame and drive train. Then either license it as a trooper or request a new Vin for it as a VX. As far as I know though the existing vin on that truck will never be active again.

Doing either of those will probably mean a lot of paperwork and $$$... if they will allow it.

If nothing else see if you can buy it as a parts truck and sell what you cant use on Kijiji or Craigs <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Anyway, that's what I think.

Wheeler
If you were to drop it on another frame it would have to be the shorter RS.

Or a carefully chopped and shortened one. The RS's are rare enough to want to keep 'em together if in good condition.

Body Damage is Cool
It would probably fit on an Amigo/Rodeo Sport frame but then you would only have a 3.2 powerplant. And I bet the wiring harnesses and other electronics aren't the same between the 3.2 vs. 3.5
