Need a Spot
getting ready to change glow plugs for second time in a year. anyone ever have a easy way to remove plugs that have swelled too much on heating end? got rough last time and removed head to clear broken off tips of plugs, dont want to do that again. can access through injector hole be a possibility? thanks dan

they came out intact this time now need to see why 12volts at connection on glow plugs at all times even with key off

ooh, that is a bad thing. i would imagine the controller is having problems if there is 12v continuous. glad you didnt have to pull the head again, though. how big of a job was that? i have a leaking head gasket on my 223t in my 89 and i have it on my list to replace, how long did it take you?

one the subject of bulbing glowplugs, a friend advised that if i encountered that to be very gentle, and rotate them, basically grinding them like a valve until the excess got whittled down. i never had to do it, so i dont know. it seems youd still get a bunch of stuff in there, maybe a shopvac at the same time?
