so this just started happening recently. when i have to brake really hard the ABS and brake light come on until i ease off the brake then they go off. Has anyone else had this problem?
On a side note i have a stumble or a stutter when i let of the brake at a stop and hit the gas to go. it only dose it for like a seccond and then once im over 1 mph its fine no stutter at all. i was thinking spark plugs and a tb cleaning. Any input would be appriciated. thanks Kyle

Check for a vacuum leak in the brake booster line and check your brake fluid level.

Like Dennis said....check ur fluid level and check for leaks. I am on my third master cylinder and just added fluid last week due to it being low. You will also notice weak braking if fluid is low ----or if there is a vacuum leak to booster then the brakes will be really hard to step on........
My fluid loss was from one of the slave cylinders. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thanks I just got done looking for vacuum leaks while I was changing the plugs and porting and polishing the throttle body. I wasn't able to find any leaks of fluid or vacuum. The fluid level is in the middle of full and low. The brakes work the same they always have but I just have never seen the lights come on before so Im thinking something isn't right. But maybe it's normal. I was out 4wheeling a couple of weeks ago and the abs light alone came on. But as soon as I got back on pavement it turned off. Maybe there is a link

It sounds very much like the vacuum booster on the brake master cylinder has a ripped diagram internally. That is the black round unit that the vacuum line plugs into.
With the engine running have someone step hard on the brakes and listen closely in the area for a continuous hissing sound. If you have a hiss the diagram is leaking.
And if it is leaking it will also cause the engine stumble. One way to verify that is pull the vacuum line off the booster and plug the line. If engine stumble is gone you found the culprit.

That sounds like what's happening. But the tb clean and plugs fixed the stumble I had but there is still a little shakey idle but I think it's cuz of my bad motor mounts. I'll try pluging the booster vacuum line and see what happens. Thank you very much I'll keep you all posted with more on that tonight

so i still havent found any leaks in the booster yet and havent had any more problems with the lights comeing on either i dont know what i did but it seems to be better. but i added a cone filter and romoved and pluged the black box on the intake tube and now i have a stumble again off a light but only if i use alot of throttle. could this be cause the engine is getting more air now so a lack of fuel is present? maybe a pluged fuel filter?
