Update: (102609)

After much searching and testing I finally concluded some time back that it must be the upper rear control arms that were causing the drive train noise (pop, clunk, snap)...

I have been working closely with the dealer ship management to resolve this issue and we thought this may be it.

They looked at "silver" two Wednesday ago and ordered all parts so as to be able to do the complete removal and installation of both UCA + all new hardware.

I'd like to interjected that the manager of the repair division has been very helpful up till this past Wednesday.

So, they replaced the items in question and I went to retrieve "silver" and sure enough that did not resolve the noise. The manager came out and listened and he agreed that the issue was still present.

For the 1st time the Lemon law was brought into the equation. The paper work was completed to mail in and the stamp went on and the paper was hand delivered (by me) to the post office.

This weekend (Sunday) I chose to do full fluid check and change oil. The fluids were all low. Lol! "Silver" was at the dealership 3 times this month and never once did they check the fluids.

I had her up on jack stands (supported 4-5" high) and tested a theory I have.

A) 2wd rear spinning freely in 1st- 2nd gear.....no snap
b) 4wd hi .......................................no snap
c) 4wd lo .......................................no snap

d) 2wd rear wheels locked with parking brake.....SNAP!

1 very loud snap/pop came directly from the under carriage of the vehicle nearest the middle.

I stopped today to offer my findings to the dealership.

They have an engineer coming 1st week of Nov. and he might take a look at her.

They are trying and for that I'm appreciative.

I've never filled out a Lemon Law form....nor do I have any insight as to the procedure they will follow.

C.
