Hydra, Don't worry about that new box squealing. My wife admitted to squealing the first few times too. Then she said I had a baby D!{k, and the squealing ended. Every new box is like that till they get worn in. Or tired of squealing. Hope this info helps Bro???

UPDATE: So I finally cleaned out my box and the annoying squeal has gone away. Added bonus, I've noticed it smells much better now!

well good to hear you clean-out your own box, see what a good colon cleaning can do, but that is a different story the hydra squealing and laughing was about from his box, you know he is big and bad here, if we could only get his wife's email addy stories she would tell,

My fan got noisy and quit working. I removed it, disassembled it, cleaned the ducts and cleaned the motor with electrical contact cleaner and compressed air. I then lubricated it and resintalled. It has worked flawlessly ever since.

Owned my sporty for 4 years from 68k mi's to 140K mi.. I've disassembled my blower motor twice and regreased it with silicone grease. This will make it last for about 1-2 years.. and the noise will usually come back in the fall/winter. I had the same problem.. that spray stuff is not thick enough to hold. you need thick grease. If left neglected it will lock up.. consensation gets in the bushings where they should've used bearings like all of them should but don't. Anyway, you've gotta bench grinder with a wire wheel then wire wheel the corrosion off the ends of the axle. grease it more than kia did to deter futur corrosion. I had trouble getting it back together with so much grease because it made an airtight seal on the lower bushing. I'd press it in and it would pop back out due to air pressure.. I just drilled a small hole in the bottom of the blower motor housing to release the air pressure. This also will be my way of greasing the lower bushing next time it acts up.. WITHOUT disassembling the motor. It's tricky to do with the contacts an all but it can be done. I did it twice
