I'd like to know what you do for a living where you can afford to ski 4 days out of the week. I used to work at a ski resort in the poconos that neighbored my housing development part time in high school.. I would ski and snowboard 7 days out of the week

You could sipe them but then you won't get as good of mileage out of them.
Just wondering where you got this information at. The studies on the advantages of siping tires have show no adverse affect to the tires from siping. If anything some have shown the tires last longer. Siped tires disperse heat much better than non-siped tires and heat is a direct reason for faster tire wear. Cooler running tires means longer life for them.

I'd like to know what you do for a living where you can afford to ski 4 days out of the week. I'm a diesel tech. No I don't make lots of money doing it but I am smart and buy a season pass that ends up only costing me $450. It a unlimited pass so I can ski as much as I want when ever I want. So I ski every Tuesday and Thursday night from around 5-10/11pm and every saturday and sunday from 9-5. This is for all the people that don't live in the PNW. Man its a hard life up here Yokahanma's Geolandar A/T-S. You know if these are rating for server weather driving. Do they have the Mt with the snow flake. I ask because when I go to Wa to ski I have been stopped before when it was chains or traction tires required and they looked at my tires before they would let me go. Its a must have for me as I hate putting chains on.

I've had 3 sets of BFG MTs, older model and newer, and they have worked out great for me. I cant imagine ATs being better in deep snow than MTs?
And as for mileage, you'll get the same. Plus durning off season, the MTs would do better on non-snowed trails. I've gotten about 60k out of each MT I've owned

i hate chain laws. Exemptions
In typical winter conditions, the following vehicles are completely or partially exempt from the chain law. However, in very bad winter road conditions all vehicles may be required to use chains regardless of the type of vehicle or type of tire being used (this is known as a conditional road closure). A conditional road closure may occur on any of Oregon's highways and are frequent in the winter on Interstate 5 through the Siskiyou Pass south of Ashland: A four-wheel or all-wheel drive passenger vehicle if all of the following statements are true:
a) It has an unloaded weight of 6,500 pounds or less; b) It is operated to provide power to both the front and rear wheels; c) It is carrying chains; d) It has mud and snow, all-weather radial, or traction tires on all of its wheels; e) It is not towing another vehicle; f) It is not being operated in a manner or under conditions that cause the vehicle to lose traction.
how is it that you can require crap when those of us who DO know how to drive and have capable vehicles can get around no problem? maybe they should make a sticker like the ORV permit to exempt those of us from the chain BS.

Rember last winter when we were required to have chains on anything just to go out around the city?
Oh well,

Oh well,
Kevin Yep I remember that. I have a Funny story about that. On one of those days, I was on my way to work when I see a Portland PD in a ford explorer stuck in one of those snow backs from the snow plows. I guess he was trying to pull into the parking lot and it high centered. Because of the way he is stuck I can't pull him out because I will be blocking traffic. So I just drove over the same snow bank he got stuck in and pulled him into the parking lot. After all was said and done he looked at me and said you do know its chains required right. All I wanted to do was LOL because he did not have chains on his rig. I asked him if he wanted me to chain up and all he said is I will let you go this time. Man the nerve of some people.
