You can actually get a CLASS 3 (2" 3500# receiver) from anyone selling Curt Manufacturing hitches/receivers.

Looks good!!!

What kind of tires are you going to put on your rig?

I think for my daily driver 2 door 2wd I'm going with the TREADWRIGHT ATG 235's for $330 shipped to my door (I just got a contact that will mount/balance them for free)
Keep us posted!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Hey a related question:

Do you think the Sportage would be capable of towing a medium-sized U-Haul trailer? I am thinking of moving out of state for grad school. I would not have much furniture, probably a bed and a desk and some chairs, but I would need a trailer to put all my stuff in for the move.

Alternately, I was thinking of maybe renting a nice big moving truck and paying a friend to drive it up for me, and take them back or something... lol

On flat ground, no problem. If mountain passes are involved, good luck!
I had 1 passenger,2 dirt bikes on a small bike trailer and our gear headed over Snoqualmie Pass (WA State) and it felt like I had a 35' travel trailer behind me.
I also didn't have the wind resistance that you might experience. If you rent a truck, rent a dolly as well so you can pull the Sportage behind you <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Hey Nukey,
for local towing I would certainly go for it, but aside from that I would say that, "It doesn't worth it!" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />

Totl Cost of $69 plus shipping=$99.00

----Whatever you do DON'T get the one at Wal-Mart----POS!
<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />

BTW: there is a little play in the rec. gotta get some foam tame and wrap around so it is more tighter (and not crooked)!

To put a fourth stop light you gotta drill a hole at the end of the underside too <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

-----And tailor the exhaust downward------ <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
