You would probably get 2" max with spacers. You would have problems with the control arms and ball joints if you went higher unless you went straight axles

Well, I've done it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> I've gone and bought a 97 xj jeep cherokee. It's got a few issues, for a start it's stock. I'll start at the beginning with the usual mods and take it from there. I will miss the sportage when I sell it. It's a great little 4wd.

My 2000 is almost desintegrating as I go...so it will be gone soon. Have problem finding a suitable replacement. I had thought of a 2011 Grand Vitara...4 cyl...NOrth-south engine, main traction from the rear, 2wd, 4wd, HI-Lo and lock transfer case, all these features I wanted. But the sideways back door ..and on the wrong side (Japan drives on the left...) is a nuisance: I use to run the sporty with rear hatch opened with long loads...no way with a sideway door.... I keep looking....
