Michael, if the wife doesn't come along, you wanna ride shotgun? I swing by and pick you up. Of course you could join the caravan in one of the cats... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

OK, just so we're all on the same page. Plan for Sat is for some of us to meet up at the UC Davis Medical Center @ 9:00am to visit Matt (Mad_Matt) who was recently in a serious accident with his Monty when it was hit head on by a drunk driver in a F350.

The hospital is only 5min out of our way and right off of Highway 50 in Sac.

As I've already noted above, for those coming, if you have any movies (on External HD or Thumbdrive) please bring them. Matt will likely be there for 4 months of recovery so I'm sure he will more than appreciate the movies.

After leaving Sac, we'll regroup at the Park and Ride in Placerville (~40 miles) as noted above around 10:00'ish. Probably 10:30 is more realistic.

After fueling up (WONT HAVE TIME TO VISIT GROCERY STORES SO BE SURE YOU ALREADY HAVE LUNCH/BREAKFAST WITH YOU) we'll head to the Mormon Emigrant Trail which is still another 20 miles away on Highway 50.

For the snow run itself we'll stay there as long as everyone feels comfortable. I'll likely be driving from Grass Valley but am not 100% sure yet so I may also be driving up to Sac from Lathrop.

I think I have everyone's number at this point but for those who don't have my phone number, PM me. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I thought I had my rig fixed but it looks like I have some electrical issues still. (see saga in Mitsu Tech)

If I don't make it....have fun. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Ray,
Just got your Test Message.
Sorry I am not going to be able to go on this one.
Too much going on. Plus it is Valentines Day weekend.
I tried to convince the wife to go along but snow well ... nope.
Sounds like it is going to be fun though.

Thanks for the offer Jon, but there is no way I'm going to be near snow on purpose for more than a few minutes.
Snow and this old guy don't mix well. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Hey Jon,

I would have thought that taking 680 to 580 to 5 then 50 would be faster than going around the top of Sacramento on 80. If you want to meet up in Pleasanton 680/580 I can do that. it's about 2 hours from there to Placerville so meeting at 8ish would work. There's a McDonalds right off 580 on the Santa Rita Exit. We could meet there if you want to. I'll PM you my cell number.

Bad news... I may be out of the trip. My mom needs my help on Saturday. She's going out of the country for a month and needs to add me to her Safety Deposit Box access list and we can only do this on Saturday.

I'm gonna try to get my sister to go with her but I also feel a bit guilty if I don't go so I may not be able to make this trip.

Add to that limited internet access until Tuesday.

That said if you need to reach me PM me today and I will have access online until ~5:00pm.

Well, unfortunately, I'm out, too. No excuses, I'm just lame and have other things that I really need to tend to this weekend. It was unrealistic to think that I could actually go on this trip...maybe next time. I hope you all have fun!

Kirk, I'll still be giving you a call today so as not to leave you hangin'.
