Getting the Wheeling Fever
I need to buy some parts for my Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 3.4L in a couple months when I get home. I have found that the local parts store's parts aren't always the best. I want to buy some high quality parts without paying the dealer's price. I buy most of my stuff on line usually.

Here's what I will be needing:
Water Pump
Timing belt
Contacts and brushes for the starter
Brushes for the alternator
Inner front pass side wheel bearing (race has spun in the hub so I think I'll probably end up needing a new hub too)

I think I'll probably end up buying the brushes and contacts at the dealer. The rest of the parts I need to find a place to buy them at. Any brand recommendations as well as brands to stay away from??

Thanks.

Stay away from NAPA's water pump. Been there, done that. You'd be amazed at how different the impellers are, aside from the fact I had a 22R pump from NAPA fall apart in less than a year.

I usually take my starters and alternators to a local automotive electrical rebuilder like the dealer does here. Brushes/holder for the alt. at the dealer is cheap enough.

See if you can get the new hub out of a junkyard; www.car-part.com If not, then take a look at www.rockauto.com's prices.

I would buy the water pump from the dealer. Its high quality and comes with a very nice stainless steel and rubber gasket.

Important things like that that I don't want to have to mess with again because its buried under the timing belt I usually spend the extra few bucks on OEM.

Body Damage is Cool
And again.
I buy light bulbs from the aftermarket suppliers. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
Service parts I get exclusively from the dealer save for the few things OEM I've had to get out of the boneyards.
