Just got a 2006 4Runner with 40K miles. Have been driving my 01 Runner since it was new, so I'm still getting used to the differences. One thing I noticed is how long it takes 4H to engage after I turn the dial. Also, makes a pretty loud click once it catches. Dealer says "normal", but I've learned not to rely on them.

Is this normal? Thanks.

P.S. - My son inherited the 01, so it is still in the family. Couldn't bear to part with it completely.
