Body Damage is Cool
|
I guess it goes without saying cops in all branches around Seattle are pretty touchy about drivers carrying guns right now. 2009 was a really rough year for Seattle PD, WA State Patrol and King Co Sheriffs Dept.
While I may not agree with banning assault weapons I completely understand thier hightened alert. Even meter maids are wearing body armor these days.
It's sad that it's come to Police having to protect themselves like soilders going into combat.
I would most certainly offer up the information about having a firearm in my vehicle to any officer. Better to disclose and diffuse than risk looking like your hiding something. Especially a gun.
I frequent shooting ranges and often have more than one firearm locked in a Pelican case in the back of the Jeep.
I've talked to officers at the range and come across the Sherriff in the National forest many times. They're cool. Just regular guys trying to do thier job.
