Getting the Wheeling Fever
The saga continues: the clutch was needing to be punched to the floor with the point of my toe to grind it down far enough for me to shift. I adjusted the pedal as much as I could; couldn't back the master cylinder pin out any further or it would've fallen out of the T-pin thing. Still engages pretty far down. While under the dash I noticed a split in the clutch bracket. It didnt seem to be moving when I was engaging the clutch, but maybe it's been push down/bent and that's why the master cylinder pin can't back out far enough??? It doesn't look very fun to replace.

Not a real common problem but it does happen. Replace or weld, it is your choice. Either one is a bummer to do.

Replace looks to be pricey (like $200), but I sold my welder with the divorce (10 years ago). Replacing that's even pricier

There is still some welding to do with the new bracket.

Doesn't that guy in Palmer have Toys in his yard?

I'd probably yank the seat out of the way to do a bracket R&R.

That's not too bad an idea (the seat thing). I should look for a used bracket?

I would if you're not going to yank your old one and have someone reweld for you. I'd give the floorpan a good looking over too, esp if you're heavy-footed.

I've toggled this thread a LONG time ago; have thrown it out here quite a bit since:
