old man dying of cancer doesnt care whos coming down the road,he's pulling in his driveway anyway.
i had one little gap ,and that was it.
it did go slow motion, and its true, your life does flash before your eyes.
once pulled out of ditch,i drove the sucker back home,70 miles!

Looks like it may have been a bit scary, good thing you missed the tele pole or you may have been hurt and sent your Sporty to the graveyard.
Still a little funny though because you completely destroyed their fence. What is it made of, balsa wood or cheap plastic?
I'm a insurance appraiser, get his carrier to pay for a complete chassis detail on top of the body work!
Any questions regarding this process just send a PM.

Good PIX...
Looks like that you made a couple of attempts to get out of the mud ruts and were finally winched out by the tow truck (or that you were upset and did some more wheelin')! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <Kidding>! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Glad that you are fine. Those rear bumper reflectors look like functioning reverse lights......Are they.....if so Was it easy?????

Nice Skid plate too!

They be OHIO plates...Been through Youngstown once (more hickville then some parts of Texas) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />

I bet that Crown Vic Cruiser wouldn't dare go near that mud spot though... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

cruising at 55mph to spend two days in morehead ky bowhunting on papaws 80 acers.also had with me a new remington 870 turkey gun,a new foxpro electronic gamecaller, and three inch magnum 00buck 15 pellet rounds for some coyote, they are gettin bad down there.lots of beer and mre's.

just replaced headlights, one of the set of foglights, upper balljoints. basically i was just really pleased with the shape sport was in.serving me very well.handeling great.just recently pulled sway bar off front. never lowered it after lift so angle was wrong anyway.rode better without it too.
so im halfway there and see that the guy is slowing to turn, but turned way to soon and stayed in my lane at 45 degree angle trying to get up to the driveway.it happened so fast.i tapped brakes, instant lock up.it was wet out.i had to let off brake to maintain some control.i couldn't cut left due to oncoming traffic behind him. i couldnt cut right until after first telephone pole and right side of driveway entrance would have launched me into orbit.so as soon as i got past pole i cut it right, and in front of him. he must have missed me by an inch.so i am alittle releived at thaT POINT that a catrostrophic collision was avoided, and on too the next scare.launching off the dropoff beside driway.probably 1 foot dropoff. suspension droops maintains contact, then the body finally lands. it was dukes of hazzrd stuff. by now the second pole is scaring the heck out me. then the fence...oh yes..it was priceless. plastic and frozen it literally expolded into the air like empty bullet casings out a machine gun.at least 50 feet into the air..peices everwhere..it was chaos..i just kept sliding on and on. by then i could see i was not going to hit pole and stopped sh*tting my pants.
so it was like 4 phases of scares. one danger after another.and after the first jerk right i was out of control and praying my but off. definatley slow motion, life flashing before they eyes stuff.it messes with your head when you nearly die. all kinds of thoughts you dont normally think after something like that. had i been reaching for the radio or window knob , me his passenger and him would probably all be dead.happens everday, and that day was almost me.i have beleived in gardian angels for a longtime.
anyway the kia soaked up the drop like a baja racer. if i hadnt hit the fence it would have been fun, still scary.
that second pole was close amd scared me to death.his passenger told the trooper the guys mistake,he got sited.he did have insurance.and i dont want them to total my kia. i just want it back the way it was.

i thought it would pull out of the mud..none doing. clogged those all terrains quick and just sank.
those are real foglights in the rear bumper, they fit right in there.15amp switch under dash/no relay.
thanks for the thought guys and you all be careful too. im telling you this messed with my head. its realizing what a false sense of security we all have ,our lives are more fragile than we most think.could end any second doing anything. so my conclusion..live every minute as your last, cause it could be.

the ladies fence was a week old,and just rebuilt from the drunk chick that took it out last year.

WoW.........

Reminds me of going over "White Pass" in WA during Feb a couple of years back trying to get to a small town called "Packwood" WA....I almost went over the cliff due to ice and snow <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Ya, My life really just flashed before me. I also believe in guardian angels and i am alive today due to it! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Gotta check out how U did those lights though! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

This made me remember the time i was comming home from wooster ohio. Decided to take the "quick" back way home. It was raining. Was going down a slight incline, in my 84 malibu wagon filled with stereo equipment (around 1992), hit the brakes for a curve. Was like i was on ice. Going about 35 to start, and headed for an about 4 or 5 foot wide tree. With no steering and about ready to rip the steering wheel of, i let go of the brakes and, prety much prayed. Just missed the tree, went over an enbankment, then into a creek doorline deep busting out the rear side window. Thank you god. I don't know that this post was to put stories in. Hope you don't mind. Happy to get home to wife and kid that night.
