No problem.

As for the hill...
[Linked Image]

Aren't you glad none of us ended up sideways on it? That's what happened when we did this trail with a guy from Mitsubishi a few years back. One of the rigs with us (Toy FJ-100) got sideways and we had to anchor it sideways to prevent a rollover. We used a strap from a rig at the top attached to one of the FJ's skids.

THAT was an off the scale pucker factor moment for Matt (the driver).

That photo absolutely does not do justice to the angle of that hill... and it's missing the sound of squealing tires.

Especially when I tried it without using my lockers.

FWIW, I wasn't aired down for this hill either and was at ~26psi (my normal street pressure).

Yep I agree. I went last so I had the advantage of picking the best line.

I think it would have been just as bad coming down, because you would have had to make a right hand turn blinded, seeing nothing but air and then pucker, pucker, pucker as you head over the side.

I hate those goat trails, as some of you know, but I did OK on this little trip. Only changed my drawers 3 or 4 times.

this is true, the pictures of high-angle climbs are tricky. I still have not figured out how to make these pictures. In real life, the hill may be scary... on the picture, it is pretty tame. I had the same problem in my latest trip; the "Diablo drop-off" in Anza in reality is quite interesting, but on my picture it is rather lame.

This particular problem has nothing to do with the camera. It is mostly about the art skills. Although, some very wide-angle lens may actually help to capture the entire situation.

Here's a better animated Gif of Tyson ascending the hill in his GF's Pathfinder that really shows the hill's steepness...
[Linked Image]

More animated gifs of each of us ascending (except Carlos and I) can be found below...

Nick & Steve ascending the hill

Joanna ascending the hill

Ty ascending it a 2nd time in his own Montero.
