Well,
Looks like the Lean Condition (CEL 25) wasn't the injector because after my mechanic replaced the injector....the engine still missing.
The original est for the injector replacment was $500...I may very well have needed the injector so I don't mind paying for the part....if they have to tear into it again...do I pay for labor again?
This has never happened to me before, so I'm not sure what I should expect.
I like my shop...they do a good job and are generally fair.

Call and ask them what their warranty policy is, if they have one. You should be asking them, not here. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
They might be willing to work with you, but you won't know until you ASK.

Not really a warranty thing....because the work isn't complete....they basically did the injector repair work...buttoned it up....but the 'miss' was still there, so they are still working on it....they still haven't called back to let me know what the problem is or if any additional work is needed....this has never happened to me before, so I kinda want get an idea what is reasonable....if they have to tear the intact off again...should I ask just to pay for any additional part...but not additional labor?

If it were me, I'd be wanting to know why they replaced the original injector without testing it & being sure it was bad? Troubleshooting by replacing parts is a bogus way to fix vehicles, but a great way to boost a shop's income if you let them get away with it.
From your other thread on the same problem, it seems clear that this is a wiring problem, they should have figured that out before replacing good parts.

...ok...here is the lastest status:
- injector in #1 cly is working fine. They put a scope on it and it's firing...but when they pull the plug it's dry. - There is still a miss
- they are going to check the timing belt...they think the PS cam may be off a tooth.
I'll find out in the morning if that fixed the problem.
...I guess I'm back to my previous post....should I be paying for an injector replacement...TB/Cam fix....or both?

I'd pay for the injectors but tell them you shouldn't have to pay labor because of their mis diagnosis. They replaced parts that appear to be good parts. You are getting and using the new injector so I wouldn't mind paying for that. The mis diagnosis on the other hand should be free.
