Getting the Wheeling Fever

Current thought is to swap the motor to a Montero, but the Monty is V6 auto. Ranger has a 4 speed (Maybe a Mazda unit? Didn't look yet, but 4th gear seems to go missing) Anyone with ideas on it?
Another possibility is swapping it to a small Jeep (I have a DJ5, Comanche, and Cherokee that all need motors)
