Thanx wire gang.Specially Fast Eddy. One quarter, and a golf tee. Problem solved. Blanked reed side with the quarter, blocked vac line with golf tee. Must have had vac leak for awhile. Had low idle, and no power prior to reed valve meltdown. 700 rpm at warm idle. Guts when I hit the gas now. Still rough idle cold start. Runs on the rich side till she warms a bit. More to follow.

Nice. Sounds like you're making progress.

BTW, just a suggestion but in the future you should consider posting all these update posts on your reed valve into a single thread. As I can see right now via a cursory look you've started 3 different threads on this one problem.

If you keep it all in one thread it makes it easier to, know what you've done, follow your progress, and also to find stuff in the future.

I'm new at Raiders, and computers. I'm not sure how to thread. Hopefully, I just did.

LOL No problem. That's what I'm here for.

A 'thread' refers to a discussion thread like the one we're having now.

What I was suggesting was instead of posting a separate thread like what you originally did, you should have just responded to your original posting. But don't worry, it's cool that you are at least trying and willing to admit you didn't know what I was talking about. I can fully respect that.

Thank you. I thank 4x4 for their patience. I hope as time goes on I'll be able to contribute.
