I have the console loose but how do i get the 4x4 shifter knob and boot off; how do it get it off the e brake lever with out removing the lever??! WTF, thanks guys.

i think i got it; the black shifter plastic snaps away (just pull) from the gray (gray interior color). lots of stuff going on with the 03 wiring harness. I am just trying to fix cig lighter and some bulbs. its a bit of a pain. fyi, the console shift indicator bulb is #74 sylvania

i just love the way these things are built; easy to work on, once ya know how they are supposed to come apart, relatively simple to get to parts like bulbs, switches, etc, and hell for snout! all done.

Did you get the bulbs from a parts store or did you have to go to the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />stealer?
