Getting the Wheeling Fever
My question is this: Does anyone suggest doing this proactively, or only after having an issue?

Need a Spot
Just purchased the time-sert kit from there site... had to call them bc the kit is on the site but not for online purchase I will be doing the install/repair on my 1995 SR the kit will be up for sale after that. My cost was $134 from Time-sert + shipping $16. Anyone looking for the kit can contact me for purchase since there are 4 more inserts for the M14 X 1.5 28mm bolt. Since this also is the same kit for Kia's which use the mitsu engine I am posting on the Kia forums as well. $110.00 with shipping to anyone who needs this kit.

repair competed took me about 6 hrs, removed radiator, fan and fan shroud. took a bit of thinking to keep the engine from turning, I used the old crank pulley and the pulley tool which has a long handle butted up against the battery tray. drilling out the old threads by hand was slow and I had to use a lot of force, with each few turns I backed out the bit and shot some cutting oil in. that was the hardest part of the install. counter sink and tapping the new threads just go slow and back out the tap every turn or so. have some pics will upload.

The Time-sert kit is for sale I paid about $150 with shipping so if anyone needs to do this I would like to get $110 for the kit. I has 4 more inserts. Shoot me a PM or call me (Mike) 267-934-7451.

Ok buttoned up the monty today, new crank bolt and harmonic balancer went in with no issues, 135lbs on the torque wrench and the time-sert held with no issues. Felt good today to fire it up and take it for a drive... monty has more lives then a cat.
