have an 02 axiom that will start sometimes and then it will not start for a day or so. Any ideas?

when you start driving it, it will have the check trans light and cruise control lights come on and it will lose power and die. then it will not start for a day or so.

there is a check engine light on, but whenever a scan tool is hooked up it says no connection.

A big part of the problem, Troy, is that there are very few people with the variant of the engine that you have. There is a term for that form of injection, but I can't remember what it is, but it was only used on the last year or so of the Isuzus.

A big part of the problem, Troy, is that there are very few people with the variant of the engine that you have. There is a term for that form of injection, but I can't remember what it is, but it was only used on the last year or so of the Isuzus. Actually, the direct injection engine appeared only in 2004. The Axiom 02 engine is pretty conventional - I suppose this is the same engine (with possibly minor variations) as on 2002 Trooper. The transmission and the transfer case are the same as on the Trooper, too.

Troy,
if you have 2002, then it is not DI engine.
First, check connectors on the PCM (Computer). Possible some moister in the connector. Disconnect battery, disconnect two connectors from the PCM and apply electrical connector cleaner. After it dry, connect back and try.
